Namco Bandai have confirmed that Thundercats a 2D side scroller to the DS will be released on September 28th, 2012.
The game is a side-scrolling action game for the Nintendo DS and is based upon the new cartoon series, which will see players controlling Lion-O with assistance from fellow cats Tygra, Cheetara, Panthro, and WilyKit/WilyKat, as you can call on them to help out with some challenges during the game.
You like me maybe a little disappointed that you cant play as as your favourite Thundercat, I am sure Lion-O will bug me at times with his annoying attitude and stupid hair. I would certainly choose to play as Cheetara, and kick mutant ass using my super speed and bo staff but we must console ourselves that at least we can summon them for help I guess.
The game starts at the very beginning of the Thundercats story with the evil Lizard army advancing on Thundera, with Lion-O kicking some lizard tail with the Sword of Omens, and progressing through what we are will be some epic battles between Mumm-Ra and his forces of evil.
