The EU Playstation blog made a bit of an error today when they published details of Battlefield 3 Premium. They have dated this as being released on June 4th and will be priced at £39.99.
Shortly after putting the post up, it was whipped right back down again but not before Joystiq spotted it.
There had previously been rumours that Battlefield 3 premium would be released on June 29th, as online retailer Coolshop listed this as its release date but according to the official Playstation blog, Battlefield 3 premium will be available to buy next week. Giving us the chance to try out some new weapons and get killing on some big new maps.
Those purchasing Battlefield 3 Premium will have 5 DLC drops, Back to Karkand (already released), Close Quarters (releasing June), Armoured Kill (releasing Sept) and End Game (releasing December) and a further DLC drop next year.
As well as the new maps, rumours are that Battlefield 3 Premium will also include:
- 20 New Weapons
- 10+ New Vehicles
- 4+ New Game Modes
- 30+ Assignments
- 20+ Dog Tags
- Also includes “Premium Benefits” which are made up of skins, camos and most importantly early access to all DLC.

P-p-p-pricey!
Yeah, I didn’t even pay that price for the game!
