In Sony’s latest official blogcast it was revealed that free-to-play standalone version of Killzone 3′s multiplayer component, will shortly be available to those in the US.
From the 28th February PS3 owners in the US will be able to download the Killzone 3 Multiplayer for free to play.
There will be limits though, the game will have a level cap and once that cap is reached, you will have to pay $14.99 to continue to play. Which is a good price for what was one of the best first person shooters released last year.
Who knows if this is a success, perhaps we will see much more of this in the future, I am sure all of us would like a free go at a game before we actually purchase, so could be really good news for us consumers.
No news as yet as to when we are likely to see this in the EU, reports are saying that it could be some time due to localisation issues.
