Hello Gamers of the World!
Something has been on my mind lately and I have wanted to blog about it for awhile. So I asked permission to blog about this subject. Why did I ask permission you ask… Well it’s a touchy subject with some people and me being very Blunt I thought I better ask. So as you are reading this you see I got the “go ahead”..
Now I am a xbox360 gamer girl.. I paid for my xbox360, I paid for my 12 month xbox live online account, I pay for All my online market place purchases and I pay for my games. Saying this it shocks me and really pi**** me off that I get disrespected over a mic on xbox live, For being a Girl! Hey it’s not my problem you are not a good gamer guy but really when you find out a girl just beat you with a score of 27 /4 don’t turn into an a**hole to make your self look better to a lobby of strangers.
No one really cares that you cant carry on a civil conversation in a public room, all they care about is your stupid one liners to insult a girl. Yes I am saying this from experience and well I have been thinking about this blog for days but last night something really took the p*** right out of me. My cousin who is on this site also, was playing on MW3 with a group of people, they were in a pvt party like usual, but some game types on MW3 make you go into open lobby. She automatically shut her mic off, but by our gamer tags you can tell we are girl gamers. Well the sh** talk started and made her want to log off. My cousin is a lady and I respect her a great deal. So I took the mic and controller from her, I sat down listen to what those immature guys had to say, the game started and I will admit I was making a point of hunting down those a**holes.. My score was 27 kills 4 deaths.. Game ends back to the lobby we go.. So to answer those questions they were asking and to give you “the reader an idea of the crap that was being said”
No I don’t want to make you a sandwich, No I shouldn’t be in the kitchen, No I don’t want to bed you, No I don’t want to bed your red neck wife/girlfriend. You want me to suck on what? You want to do what with that? Stick what where? Do what with my mouth? No I’m not fat or ugly, No you can’t be on my list, Yes I have a job and No you can’t have my phone number.. Now when I was given permission to write this I agreed to be polite/clean so I will not say the “other” kinds of things that were said over an open lobby in an open game chat.
BUT… That all being said I am going to say this.. Guys remember this the next time you decide to open your mouth and act like a school yard bully use your brains “if you have any”.. It doesn’t make you look good to disrespect someone because of gender, it really only makes you look like an a**, someone I wouldn’t want on my friends list or to play again in the future. And what about the smaller, younger kids who are hearing you act like a di**, yeah that’s setting a good example for them, way to show the little kids what respect is.
Girl Gamers are here to stay, we are getting stronger in numbers by the weeks/months, every console on the world has a girl gamer of some age playing it, beating it, making the high scores. So the next time you see my nic name in one of the game lobbies.. Remember this… I’m the girl that kicked your a** 27/4 and that wasn’t even with my try hard boots on!

i had to say something when i saw this,i too hate that guys think girls shouldnt be “gamers” its wrong they need to remember that ps3,xbox or whatever was made for all ages and kinds male or female,i think its great girls are into gaming
i think one of the reasons guys dont like it is cos girls can be better at a game then guys are,ive known afew amazing female gamers
It’s a shame that people talk in this way. Unfortunately , it’s just the way the internet has become. Full of idiots with no sense of the real world and think however they speak to people online, has no effect. Like because their online they aren’t even real people.
I have never spoken to a girl in this way and neither have my friends. Maybe it’s because we’re older. Though i think it’s because we’re not complete idiots.
all guys should make the effort to get involved with female clans in some respect, then its not a case of sticking up for a girl gamer, its a case of stickin up for your friends,i dunno why guys have to act like stone age men, just get on with your game, you aint impressing anyone…
@Luke I think you have made a really good point there re people not considering that its real as they are just ‘online people’
They seem to think that its OK to trash talk people and I dont just mean women in lobbies, and its pretty much accepted by their peers, in fact some seem to encourage it.
Whilst I am playing MW3, quite often I just mute everyone I dont know in the lobby, just to avoid any conflict which is shame really, as I am probably missing out on having a laugh and making some new PSN friends but it has got to the stage where I have just got a bit fed up of the crap that comes out of some peoples mouths!
i do that too jen i mute people i dont know cos i really cant be bothered with there BS and yeah i agree with luke they are real people and yeah jen i can understand that your losing out on a laugh and making new friends it sucks you have to mute people but it can get abit to much

It’s a shame us girl gamers still get flack for being a “girl”. No matter the age or how good you are people make it about our gender. It’s a shame when you enter a lobby and have to mute everyone or unplug your mic before you here the crap talk start. I enjoy playing video games and yes I’m a girl, So What?
Agreed! All of this is true. Just because we are girls that play video games does not mean we are ugly or any of those other things. I wish i could just be in the lobby and talk freely without being judged bcuz im a girl.
